User level control over emails desperately needed

  • Under Consideration
I've been trying to work with my administrator to have Replicon only email me the emails I want.  He's been unable to do anything beyond blanket on/off emails.  For the kind of work we do, I don't need an onslaught of emails.  I barely even need or want any.

It seems super basic that a user should be able to customize their own email notification preferences.  The more control the better.  We have no use for "a new time sheet period has started" email, and I'd like to be able to schedule reminder notifications for potentially forgotten time sheets for a time when it's realistic that I've actually forgotten (i.e. not on Sunday morning when I forgot to finish the thing on Friday).

Please please please add this most basic of functionality.

Hello Adam,

Thank you for posting in Replicon Community.

I certainly understand your requirement here.

With the new notification, the Admin can only turn off and turn on the notifications for a specific category for example Timesheet, time off, etc

As an Administrator, you may disable the notification by going to Administration----Notifications (Globally)

By doing this you will only get the notifications that are enabled.

Please refer to the above screenshot where you may enable and disable the notifications that you require.

Hope this information helps.

You misunderstand the request, I'm sorry for not being as clear as I thought.  I want at least two things:
a) Fine-grained control over what emails I receive
b) To be able to control this without going through the administrator

For the avoidance of doubt, I mean that each user should be able to control which emails he/she receives, with a good number of customization options for timing, frequency, content, etc.

Hello Adam,

Thank you for the response and clarification.

To summarize, your requirement is to have the users control the notification for there profiles.

We have included our Product management team to look into this feature request and this post will be updated by the PM team.

We thank you for sharing this idea and your efforts to post this in Community.

Regards,

Hi Adam,

This is not something we have planned currently, but I'll definitely add it to the list for us to consider for long-term planning as I can see the value.

Thanks,
Charlene
