Update Billing Rates on approved Timesheets in Gen3

If timesheets have been approved but the billing rates were wrong, changing the billing rates to the correct one doesn't alter the billable total amount. I am assuming that the billing rates going forward will reflect the new rates but how to I correct the approved timesheets.

Hi Ann,

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

Updating billing rates does not impact the historical timesheets which are approved as this might impact billing amounts. Each Timesheet will need to be reopened and data saved once again, only then will the recalculation happen with new rates.

In my experience, if a billing rate has not been added or was input as the wrong amount and needs to be changed (on an approved timesheet), the only fix I was told was to delete the entire timesheet (not just the row for that project) and start all over again.

My suggestion is this: If a billing rate is added or amended retroactively and the start date for that rate falls within an already approved timesheet, I think Replicon should automatically update the billing rate amounts instead of having to delete out the entire timesheet and start from scratch. Or at least just let us delete the row for that project and reenter.

Our staff work multiple (5-10 projects or more) so if a billing rate is accidentally left out in the project set up, it take a lot of time to recreate the entire timesheet.

We would also like this facility as we have been using Replicon for 14 years, but are only just starting to use the Invoice facility (we had an old manual process before!!!) and *none* of our projects have the correct billing rates!
It would be really great if we could at least correct it for this year's data so we can run reports directly from the system.
