In the next week, we plan to make some changes to the edit user page, reports, and pay calculation naming.

Changes to the edit user page

We’ll be updating the User Profile page, when you’re editing a single user, to improve its usability and performance, and to make it more consistent with other user profile pages.




You might notice the following differences:

  • The page will be broken into sections, each with its own Save button
      

  • Save buttons will only display once you’ve made a change
  • The Supervisor field will be updated and the Department field will be searchable
  • Improved performance, especially if you have many departments, supervisors, or custom field values.
The Add User and Edit Users (mass edit) pages will remain unchanged for the time being.

Report streaming

We’ll be releasing a change that will cause report data to load in 500 row increments. This should help prevent timeouts when long reports are loading, and should improve user experience when running reports.

A side effect of this improvement is that report URL hostname will change. For example, if your URL was:

The old report URLs will continue to work for an interim period. After that period, they’ll redirect to the new URLs.

Pay calculation renaming

On the Payroll > Timesheets page, the Succeeded status for pay calculations will be renamed Up to Date, to make its meaning clearer. Plus, the Pay Calculation Status column will be renamed Pay Calculations.
