Upcoming change to time off

In an upcoming release, we’ll be changing how holiday time off behaves in the Replicon web app. Users will no longer be allowed to manually add bookings using the holiday time off type. However, if you’ve enabled edit or delete permission for the holiday time off type, users will still be able to edit or delete holiday bookings that were added automatically.

We’re making this change to prevent user confusion regarding the holiday time off type. Currently, users sometimes think they are required to make holiday bookings manually. However, in standard usage, holiday bookings are added to timesheets automatically based on users’ holiday calendars and no manual action is required.

To further reduce confusion, once this change is made, holiday time off bookings will only display on the timesheet grid, and will no longer display on time off calendars, list pages, or balance pages, or on the schedule page. Holidays will continue to be grayed out on calendars.
