Is it possible to have a Project-Specific Timesheet approval Workflow. An example is one resource being part of multiple Projects, but a unique Approval Workflow is in place for 1 of the Projects that the user is part of. Please advise whether this is possible

Hello Konstantin,

Thank you for posting your query in Replicon Community.

As per your query, I understand that you need a project-specific approval path.

In Replicon, we have the functionality to have the Project manager approve timesheets.

For example, the user might enter time against 4 projects on these timesheets and submit it and the system will send the time to the respective Project Managers.

If you do not have the project module, we would suggest you contact your Customer Sucess manager for more details.

You may refer to the below Approval help guide to know more about approval path:

Hope this information helps.

Hi Vinod. Thank you for your feedback. My question has to do more with the possibility of setting up a Timesheet Approval Workflow at a specific Project only. An example is a Resource assigned to 3 Projects where only 1 of the 3 Projects has an Approval Workflow and the other 2 Projects do not have Approvals at all.

Hello Konstantin,

Thank you for the response.

Can you share more information about this specific project, please?

-How many steps approval will be added?
-Will this be a role-based approval or a user-based approval?

Please share the requirement in detail, so the we may check for a possible solution.

As of now, we do not have a specific project-based approval path available.

Regards,

Hi Konstantin,

As Vinodh is looking at other options, I do have an idea that may work if project managers are the ones doing the approvals for the specific project. If that's the case, you can:

1. Set up an approval path that includes project managers
2. Assign the project manager to the projects
3. For all projects that don't require approval, enable the "Skip Project Manager approval" option in the Project Info dialog

If Supervisors or others are the ones approving the time for the one project, we'd need to look at other options.

Thanks,
Charlene

Thank you Charlene, I meant to test this solution sooner but simply did not have the bandwidth. I have changed the config per your recommendation and will let you know the results.

Thank you for the creative solution
