Time Off - Custom Field

Is there a way to create a custom field within the "Book Time Off" window similar to how we can create a custom field in the Timesheet Settings?  Our Time Off is a combination of vacation and sick time and we need a way to track what time was taking as sick time.  However, as it all comes from one "pool" of time, I can't separate to a different Type as the totals would not track correctly. 

Ideally, I want a checkbox that an employee would check to indicate Sick Time - which then we could sort/filter in a report.  Is that possible? 

The alternative is to have the employees enter "Sick Time" in the comments, but that is not going to be as consistent. 

Is this possible?

Hi Michael,

You can have a drop down custom field created at the time off level that can be used by users to choose if this time off booking is for Sick or Vacation time off. Additionally the custom field can be used in reports for filtering purpose.

To create a custom field please go to Administration - time off settings and add a drop down type custom field. You can mark this as required if you want to make the selection mandatory

Hi Michael,

I've enabled this on your instance. Everything is in good shape - we're just doing some final testing with our mobile and CloudClock apps. Now if you edit a time off type, you should be able to see an "Additional Fields" section where you can set up a custom field for that time off type. We don't have checkboxes, but you could use a drop-down to handle this. Let me know if that works.

Hi Charlene - I have just checked and do not see the option for "Additional FieldS" in the Time Off Type Settings - see attached photo.  I have tried editing an existing Type and also creating a new.

Hi Michael,

It looks like you are using the older version of our time off system. Sorry - I had checked and it looked like you were on the newer version, which is needed for these newer custom fields. If you are interested in upgrading to the latest version, I can look into what's involved. It offers a number of new features like time off type-specific custom fields and additional validations and accrual options. Let me know.

Hi Charlene,

I have to admit that now I am very confused as we just went through an entire process to upgrade our system to the latest Gen3 version.  As far as I am aware, we are current.
