Time Off Calendar View - Colour coded approved entries.

In the Calendar view of Time Off, all approved bookings/entries currently display the same colour green which does not allow easy differentiation between approved "vacation" and "sick/medical leave" bookings.

Would it be possible for the approved sick/medical leave bookings to be a different colour (blue for example)?

The same could apply to the other categories, however you would not want to have it ending up looking like a rainbow :-) so my personal opinion would be to just differentiate the sick/medical leave bookings only.

Hi Stephan,

I the original intent for calendar is to show who was in or out during the week. We were concerned that by color coding for time off types we would overstep privacy reasons on why someone is out. Would you let me know why it is helpful to differentiate sick/medical leave in particular?

That's a very good point and certainly must be taken into consideration. I myself operate Replicon under Admin rights so have a complete overview of the Calendar showing all entries. Other users (standard ones) are only able to view their own Calendar so the privacy scenario would (for our set-up) not come into play.

Having thought about the privacy concerns I would tweak my suggestion to have this facility only for Administrators and Supervisors (who are only able to see their own direct reports) thus being able to restrict the potential view of confidential information to those that are eligible to view it.

I understand the privacy concerns, but we use Replicon calendar to identify both time off for personal reasons and work-related purposes such as telecommuting, working out of the office, etc. and it would be helpful to have the work-related out of office times identified on the calendar.  The system should allow each company the option of designating whether a particular time off type displays on the calendar or not.
