In the olden days, people had to rely on their own brains to know when they had meetings and deadlines. They had to actually remember to go to their calendar, or just check on the status of things, without any prompting.

Yes, maybe the world was simpler and we had less to remember back then, but we don’t really have it so bad now. At least we have more tools to help us out.

Like, automated notifications!

A notification is like an electronic tap on the arm that prompts you to direct your attention at something you need to know about.

Since we know Replicon includes a lot of tasks and data for you to keep up with, we of course offer a broad set of notifications aimed at employees, supervisors, and project managers.

For example, you can notify supervisors when items are awaiting their approval, or timesheet users when their timesheets are due or overdue.

Notifications can be sent as emails or as push notifications, are highly customizable, and can be time- or event-based.

And, we’ve recently added some improvements to notifications, to make them even more useful:

  • A right to disconnect option that blocks notifications from being sent on weekends and holidays
  • An option to forward your notifications to your substitute users
  • The ability to limit who receives the notification by group assignment
So make sure you’re making the most of them!

And, very soon we’ll be adding project notifications that will alert managers when project statuses change. So, stay tuned to the release notes for more information, and refer to Setting up automated notifications if you’d like more information on how notifications work.
