Scheduling reports to be sent to your inbox

It's the new year! And many of us are thinking about making changes. Unfortunately, the experts say resolutions alone don't work.

So, what do you do, then, if you want to improve something in your life, or create a new habit?

There are many approaches out there, but one of the simplest is automation.

True, not everything can be automated, and we wouldn't want everything to be. But one thing you can safely automate is the generation of any Replicon report you want to view on a regular basis.

For example, if your goal is to more closely track which employees are triggering time punch validation warnings, you could set up a weekly scheduled report, configured to show you validation errors from the preceding week.

You can choose:

  • How frequently the report is sent

  • At what time of day it’s sent

  • On what day the schedule begins, and

  • Who it’s sent to, if you want to loop in some of your teammates

And, since the report is generated on the day it’s sent, data is always current; you can use the report’s relative date range filters (Last week, Last month, etc) to choose the date range reported on.

Once the schedule is set, you’ll no longer have to rely on your fallible memory or variable willpower levels, or expend the extra effort of opening Replicon and generating the report. Instead, it will be sent directly to your inbox each week, configured exactly as you chose.

It's a small change, but it could be the change that finally gets you looking at that data regularly.

You'll never know unless you try.
