How can I change the global setting to round time to the nearest quarter hour or restrict hours entry to the nearest quarter hour?

Hi,

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

Replicon does not have global or local settings for rounding off time entries in the timesheet. However, you can use a custom column with a customized formula in the reports to round off the values.
I will raise a suggestion on your behalf to our Product Management team, for this feature.

Thanks

A majority of professionals use rounding of their time.  For instance, we bill our clients based on the quarter hour, meaning if we work 1 minute or 15 minutes or anywhere inbetween, we need the Start and Stop watch to automatically increment to the next quarter hour.  Currently the stopwatch only gives us exact time spent, then we have to go back in manually and adjust the time to the next quarter hour.   It would be very helpful for professionals like Attorneys and other Consulting companies who bill in Quarterly units to have this feature adjustable to make life much easier for us.   Please considering adjusting the start/stop watch to have this feature configurable in the future !

Hi Tom

We have rounding rules for our punch timesheet, but not as you noted for the standard timesheet.  In an upcoming release we are adding the ability to "snap" the timesheet to the nearest 5, 10, 15 min etc. for durations.    We hope this will meet your needs.

Thanks
Joanne

Hi Devon,

I had a look at this and could reproduce it. Let me get in touch with our development team on this and get back to you.

Thanks,
Charlene

Hi Devon,

I talked to our compliance expert here and he is suggesting it may not be wise for us to round breaks for all customers. This may cause compliance concerns for some. So we would be looking at adding an option for this. I'm going to move this to a separate conversation. In the meantime, can you please let me know the importance of this for your organization?

Edit: I'm not able to separate it out as it is a reply to another reply, so we'll leave it in this conversation.

Thanks,
Charlene

Hi,

I was just wondering if you were able to add the ability to "snap" the standard timesheet to the nearest 15 minutes for duration.

Thanks.

Hi
we use the punch time sheet but our breaks don't round? The clock in & our round but with the break not rounding it messes everything up?  can these be rounded or is there an other option?

Original request has been addressed in a future release. This would need to be looked at separately.
