Reporting on 'log in as' activity for auditing and secuirty purposes

  • Under Consideration

We would like to create a report that will tell us the dates and times of when ‘log in as’ is used. For example when an application administrator or payroll staff member logs in as a field worker or the admin admin account, we need to report on the dates and times this occurs, for auditing and security purposes.

Additionally, if you could then somehow track what was performed during this 'log in as' for example staff member was disabled or deleted.

If anyone has any suggestions that could help us even partially achieve some of this functionality, it would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi Adam,

Unfortunately, currently it is not possible to track the information. I will take this up as an idea and will update you in case of any progress.

Thanks,

Hi Adam,

While Aashnee is correct that we don't the details of each "log in as", there are some actions where we record if it was another user performing the action:
  • Approvals
  • Changes to the timesheet (shown in the audit trail report)
You'll see something like this in the approval history and reports:

Hope that helps!

Thanks,
Charlene

In addition to the logging Charlene mentioned, we are also now working on audit infrastructure to allow us to have a record of more actions in our system.  This is starting with auditing changes to the user profile, but we hope to apply it to more of our application in the future.
