Office schedules and shift schedules: What’s the difference?

There are two types of user schedules available in Replicon.

Office schedules are for users with repeating work schedules, like office workers. Office schedules don’t have to follow a regular Monday to Friday pattern, but they do have to follow a pattern of some kind.

For example, you could assign Joe, a firefighter, an office schedule that repeats every 8 days, with 4 days on and 4 days off.

Shift schedules are more complex – they can vary as much as you want them to. Shift schedules are typically used for shift workers, or anyone whose work schedule doesn’t follow a recurring pattern.

For example, you could assign Christina, a hostess in a restaurant, afternoon shifts one week, and evening shifts the next.

In either case, schedules determine an employee's hours per day, which is used to calculate things like time off, pay, or resource allocations.
