Is there any way to make OEF's mandatory while filling the timesheet?

we have 3 OEF's (Supplier, Retailer, Service Group) to be filled while filling time-sheet, currently users are entering time but not selecting any values for the 3 OEF's. we would like to have an option to make mandatory selection of value for any one of the 3 OEF's, failing to do so shouldn't allow users to enter time.

Hi Nagaraju,

Thank you for using the Replicon Community!

We are coming up with a validation rule to do that. I will update the thread with the update very soon!

Thanks,

HI Nagaraju,

Apologies for not updating the post. Yes we have a validation rule in place for making the OEFs mandatory. Please select the following validation rule for the same:

Hi Aashnee, Thanks for the update. I have to make only one among 3 OEFs as mandatory. If a user fills any one among the 3, he/she should be able to fill timesheet. Is that configuration possible?

Also, can i get some assistance in implementing this in our environment. I have tried updating parameter list in validation rule and then associating validation rule to timesheet widget, but i was able to submit time without selecting values.

Can you please try on a new timesheet and not the existing one?

Yes Nagaraju,

You can go to Administration - Timesheet - Timesheet Validation Rules and open "Mandatory Custom Fields" rule.

You should be able to put in the field names in here. If there are multiple fields, they can be separated using a comma.

Thanks,

I have put in the fields and then submitted for a newly created timesheet without selecting any values for the OEF's

hi aashnee,

I have new query. Currently we are using 3 OEFs in our environment, and for every activity we submit in timeshee,t only one among 3 OEFs needs to be filled mandatory, other 2 can be empty. Is there any way to acheive this?
