Gen3 Reports - grouping columns

I have a report where I am retrieving 'estimated hours' for users, for multiple months. I am trying to display the value for each month as a new column (rather than row), and I assumed I could do this using the 'Group Columns' option in the report settings. However group columns doesn't seem to have any effect on the report display. Is there any instructions available on how column grouping should work, or can anyone give a description of how to do it? I will also group the rows by user name and project name. Thanks very much.

Hi Stuart,

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

The Column grouping would work only if, at least one row is summarized (refer attached screen grab).

Thanks

Thanks you for that, that works. However this also now introduces summary rows and/or a summary column. Is there any way of suppressing these? Also, once you have run a report on-screen, there is a collapse/expand option - is there any way of making t

Hi Stuart,

The summary rows/columns cannot be suppressed.
The display of the report Expanded or Collapsed remains as long as, new changes made to the report are not saved. Hence, not affecting the scheduled report export.
A user can re-configure a scheduled report, and run it to obtain different data, however the format of the scheduled report would not be affected as long as the changes are not Saved.

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

You do not have a field/column named Month (Timesheet Period)! However you have Month (Timesheet Start Date) and Month (Timesheet End Date).  If you have selected one or both of these to be in the columns, they would show up in the grouping options.

Thanks
