Export expense receipts

Our implementation manager let us know that it's possible to export all receipts in the system in a given 7-day period, but what would be more helpful is if we could export receipts based on User and Project.  Some of our clients require proof or receipt when invoicing for expenses and downloading each receipt is very time consuming.

We also need to download expense receipts to an external payroll agency.  Printing and scanning receipts to email them is tedious and time consuming, and reduces the effectiveness of electronic expenses.  Can you look at this suggestion again please?  I'm sure it would help a lot of users.

Hi Rachel,

I have had an update from the product management team that, this idea is currently NOT PLANNED. However, will be kept in mind during future planning sessions.

Thanks,

Why isn't this planned.  We are using G2 and made this request 3 years ago and were told then, that the ability to produce a report with images of scanned receipts associated to each line item, as well as a summary page, WOULD be available in G3.  Within the last month we spoke to our 'new' account manager and when we asked about this functionality, he said "I believe it is available in G3".  Obviously, it is not available in G3 (account managers should know this), and obviously the Replicon person who told us 3 years that this reporting capablity would be available in G3, did not know what he was talking about.  We currently provide each of our users with a small NEAT Receipt scanner, that they travel with, so that they can scan their receipts and produce a report that we can provide to all of our clients (100% of our clients require a report with scanned images of receipts for each line item expense).  It is ridiculous that we have to use a third party application to provide this functionality when we already pay for Replicon!  To say that we are frustrated, is an understatement!

Hi Replicon Team,

We also need this functionality, I'm quite surprised that this sort of functionality doesn't exist.

We are new customers to replicon and are now reviewing competing tools that offer the functionality that we need.

Hi John,

We currently have an external tool which can be set up to export receipts. Based on the email provided during registration with community I could not locate an account on our CRM system. Please provide me your company name so that I can arrange for a call back.

Thanks,
Lingaraj

Receipts and documentation have been uploaded into Replicon because we need these files on record.  It does not make sense that in order to access all of those documents, we have to have some sort of external tool to export receipts.

Please clarify why it is so hard to access the receipts that our employees are uploading.  And please give us instructions on how we should be requesting the receipts if we need them exported.

Hi Corinne,

I have arranged for a call back from one of the support team members. They will contact you shortly and discuss the process and approximate time required for us to complete it.

Once we have more news on this feature & its general availability within the product, we will update this thread.

Thanks,
Lingaraj

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled The ability to batch print expense receipts instead of one at a time would be a g....

The way the system is set up you must print receipts from an
expense report one at a time. Replicon has a separate URL that is a PDF
extraction tool which is rather poorly designed. It should be done away with
and users should be given the ability to batch print directly from Replicon.

Hi All,

I've actually written a little windows tool that generates PDFs for this very purpose.    I'm happy to open source it / share it with anyone, if you'd like to send me an email johnwinter@gmail.com

Thanks

PS this took about a week of devleopment, so it's very disappointing that the answer from Replicon here is that such a crucial piece of functionality isn't planned.

Just wondering if Replicon has made any headway with a solution to this problem.  It seems like a lot of concerns are not being addressed or just being placated. We also have the "tool" but only being able to export 7 days worth of receipts within the current week they are submitted is ridiculous.  Agree that it should be able to be exported with projects, as part of a monthly report to prepare for the billing cycle.

Chiming in to add my thoughts - the extraction tool as it exists today is pointless for our organization. We need to be able to easily extract receipts based on the project they are charged to, for a minimum of the calendar month.
