Is there any way to create a data connection to extract project data for reporting?  For example,  I can get data out of ServiceNow using their ODBC driver http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=ODBC_Driver

Does Replicon have any similar functionality?

Hi Zane,

Thank you for using Replicon community,

You can use our web services to extract data from Replicon Gen3, you will require full Payroll Manager, Billing Manager & Administrator permissions to work with web services. You can learn more about how developers can integrate Replicon with other apps at the below URL:-

http://www.replicon.com/getting-started

In order to access all the report related to services you can use the below URL:-

https://na2.replicon.com/<companykey>/services/ReportService1.svc/help

Ensure you replace <companykey> with your company name used to log into Replicon. Open the above URL in a new tab but keep yourself logged into Replicon in the same browser window.

Thanks,
Lingaraj

Thank you Lingaraj!

So I found the Generate Report option.  It asks for the Report URI.  I was able to find the Report URI for the report that I have been using to manually extract the data I am trying to get into excel.  It is also asking me for an "outputFormatUri".  I am unsure how to get this.  I am also unsure how to apply this in Excel as a data connection.  I appreciate any additional direction regarding setting up this data extract!  Thank you :)

Hi Zane,

We cannot have a excel connection as you requested using the ODBC driver. However, since you have already tested the "GenerateReport" service, I can provide you the uri's for the available formats.

CSV - "urn:replicon:report-output-format-option:csv"
HTML - "urn:replicon:report-output-format-option:html"
MSXML - "urn:replicon:report-output-format-option:msxml"
PDF - "urn:replicon:report-output-format-option:pdf"

If you are using any programming language or a tool to connect to our Web Services to extract the data, you can use the above values for the respective formats.

Please feel free to reply back should you have any other queries.

Regards,
Gautham

Can you expand on how I use the CSV details above to get access to a CSV?
