Disable Timesheet Task Selection

We currently do not use tasks within projects.  Is there a way we can eliminate this from the Project selection in the Timesheets. For example I only want users to see a Program and a Project and would simply select on the project.

We are trying to simplify some of the selections in our timesheets and removing the added step to select a task that equates to the same as the project number is one item we are considering.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for using Replicon community,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to disable the Task column completely. I am marking this as an idea and forwarded the same to the PM team for review.

Hi Jason,

This request makes sense - it's definitely an extra step for those who don't use tasks. It's not something that's currently on the roadmap, but I'll share it with the appropriate product managers and designers and we'll review it during future planning.

This is something we would like to see as well. We will not be tracking time of individual tasks so there is no need to have to select a task in the timesheet.  We would only like to select a Client and a Project. Having to select at the task level is not part of our workflow and is an unnecessary extra step.

Hi Jason,

This is something that was marked as not planned by the Product Management team. I will however, have them review this once again.

Thanks,
Aashnee

Hi all,

We do have plans to address this on the newer timesheet format we'll be launching in the coming months. It might take a little while for us to roll out this new format to existing customers, but you should see it in future. I'll update this to Planned.

Thanks,
Charlene

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Project Timesheet - "Task" field - make this an optional field, not mandatory.

We would like to see an enhancement when a project is selected to not have to then click the "No Task" field in order for the project to populate in the project timesheet.  That field is not used in our configuration and to have the users select "no task" each time is not ideal.

Please consider this suggestion/enhancement.

Thank you.

Hi Tracy,

This is in our planned list and we will be updating the thread as and when we have an update.
