Disable Email Notifications for staff on leave

When you return to work after vacation, you will often find that you have a mountain of email to work through so it would be nice, if replicon did not add to this problem. My suggestion is that when a staff member is on leave the replicon administrator can turn off email reminders to complete your timesheet.

Hi Geoff,

Thank you for using the Replicon Community!

It is possible for the administrator to disable the email notification triggered for "complete your timesheet" for a user. The administrator can follow the below steps:

- Go to Administration
- Click on Users
- Open the user profile the administrator wants to disable the notification for
- Go to Email Notifications
- Uncheck "Timesheet is Due" or "Daily Reminder - Fill in Timesheet" based on the requirement

When the user is back from the vacation these can be checked again.

yes that works however it is not particularly elegant and requires an administrator to remember to do this. If would be better if intelligence was built into the system so that replicon recognised that the user was on leave and therefore stopped notifications until the user returned. Preferably the ability to enable this functionality could be turned on/off by a system administrator.

Hi Geoff,

That forms a good idea. I will have this discussed internally and see if we can consider the same.

Thanks

We recognize that there is a need for a way to limit notifications to when people are working.  It makes the notifications more useful when people receive them when they are prepared to act on them, and it helps people maintain a better work-life balance.

We have started down this route by enhancing our new notification system to limit notifications to work days.  While we do not have it scheduled yet, we hope to continue to enhance this to be able to be able to include work days that have had time off scheduled on them.
