Disable Clock In/Out Buttons After They Are Selected To Avoid Accidental Duplicate Punches

After someone clocks in the clock in button should then be disabled so that if accidentally hit again, the person would not be punched in twice.  Same goes for when they clock out, once they are clocked out, the clock out button should then be disabled.  This would be extremely helpful in avoiding errors.

  • Annoyed, this is basic logic and should already have been put in place when this site was first created. There is no need for someone to punch in twice in a row or out twice in a row

Hi Dorrie,

Thank you for using the Replicon Community!

May I confirm if you are referring to clock in clock out options available on the web version of Replicon or the Replicon apps?

Thanks,
Aashnee Kamboj

Hi Dorrie,

Thank you for the clarification. This is something that is on our planned list already. We will have the thread updated once we have a confirmation about the availability.

Thanks,
Aashnee Kamboj

Hi Aashnee,

Is there any update on when this fix can be made now that there is proof I am not the only one who finds this to be very frustrating? It has been 4 months since my initial request.  This really should be a simple fix on your end to disable buttons after being pressed, is there any way this can please be prioritized?

This is a real issue as it's too easy to click the "red" or "green" button option when hurrying to clock in or out. I don't know how many times employees have clocked in when already clocked in, or out when already clocked out for lunch. This shouldn't even be an option!

The buttons, if they need to be there for some web functionality, should be grayed-out and not functional at that moment. When it's an option, it should highlight thus eliminating these wastes of time.

This feature would eliminat me from having to go in and fix exceptions on timesheets.

FYI, this is the web-version of the timesheet.

In case it is helpful, attached is a screenshot of mine - as you can see both buttons are enabled.  I am currently clocked in so only the Clock Out button should be enabled.

Thank you so much Eric - I'm glad you agree, those are my feelings exactly.  This is a simple fix that would make a world of a difference and I have seen it done on at least one other similar system.  My hope was that because it is such a simple yet important and very helpful fix it would have been made by now, but currently both buttons are still always enabled on the web version.

Here's a screenshot of my replicon timesheet page. Seems odd to have so many choices. It should literally be Clock Out or Break (when clocked in).  When clocked out it should ONLY be Clock in... as you obviously can't go on a break when clocked out, nor can you clock out again.. that would be silly!

This feature is planned soon to be implemented in the web version. We will keep the thread updated
