delete time off type

If I delete a time off type that we used in 2019, will it cause changes in those time sheets that were approved in 2019 and included that time off type? I want to remove it from the list of time off choices for users to reduce confusion.

Hello Vincent,

Thank you for posting this query in Replicon Community.

We would recommend not to delete the Time Off type and suggest you disable it.

By disabling the Time-off the users will not be able to use it.

You may achieve this by going to Administration---- Time off types--- Open the Time off type and uncheck Enabled.

I would further suggest that I don't think the system will allow you to delete anything that has been used on a time sheet. I believe disable is your only option.

Thank you Vinodh and Drema. I hoped it would disappear from the choices and disable doesn't seem to do that.

Hello Vincent,

Thank you for the response.

Once you disable the Time Off the users will not get this time off to book time off going forward.

Let's try to do it step by step and I strongly believe we did not click the save button after unchecking enabled.

Here is an example:




Time off named vacation is assigned to the user profile and in the next step, we will uncheck it and save it.


 

Once this is done and when the user book tries to book he/she will not see the time off type in the dropdown.
