Company Meeting Time - Company Calendar

We would like the ability to add an additional Company Calendars ("Holiday Calendar") such as 1 named "Company Meeting" or something to that effect in our company settings whereby it adds the 3 company meeting days automatically to all of the employees' calendar so that those days are essentially "blocked" on the resource allocation module. I found a work-around for resource allocation purposes but it would be nice to have those 3-8 hour days automatically populate to the employees' timesheets, as paid holidays automatically populate, rather than have them enter the time themselves.

Hi Amy,

Thank you for using the Replicon Community!

Are the meeting hours definite or variable?

Thanks,
Aashnee

Meeting hours will be definite, just like paid holiday time - 8 hours each day for 3 days, specifically Nov. 9, 10, & 11, 2016.

Same here.  Team Meetings or Organizational Meetings that people should not be on vacation during are the All Day events like QBRs, SKO, Organizational Trainings, etc...  Would love to track these and soft-block them out for everyone so that they know something important is going on and they should plan vacations around those days.

Hi Amy,

If you have a definite number, then you can add them to the holiday calendar assigned to the users. That will populate the hours on the timesheet as the same is reached. What I would like to understand is whether the concern here lies in adding a company holiday to a calendar displaying only the national holidays?

Thanks,

Aashnee,

A Replicon Support Specialist helped us with the suggestion I think you're alluding to but that is not the true purpose of this task. Yes, we'd like the 8 hours to auto populate on the timesheet for those 3 days however, the main objective is really to have it auto-populate in the resource allocation module so we don't plan to have billable time during those days and over estimate revenue.

Thank you,
Amy

Hi Amy,

As for that we already have our engineering team working towards it. We will update you with the progress.

Thanks,
Aashnee

My preference would be that "Company Meetings" didn't show up as "Holidays" or be part of the "Holiday" calendar.  I would find "Company Meeting" or "Team Meeting" acceptable as generic placeholders but, would really an open text option I could define myself (without having to go through the admin team, etc...), or a list of predefined definitions that the admin team could add once for my org/user; along with an open text description field for the event.  In my case, I'd probably have them add:
SKO - Sales Kick Off
QBR - Quarterly Business Review
Training - Team / Org Training

@amy What is the workaround you came up with?

Hi Tony,

We used the Replicon Mass Edit AddIn Tool to allocate the days of our company meeting to each user, 8 hours per day for the 3 days during that week. Basically, our internal company meeting is a project (InternalCoMtg is the Client and Annual is the Project); our users can choose this project from their Client:Project drop down menu on their timesheet. Because of this, I used the Replicon AddIn Tool to allocate 8 hours for each of the days to that project (by entering the start & end dates of the meeting). As you can see in the screenshot below, you will create a line for each user, selecting them from the drop down menu. Once you've populated the template completely, you will click the Add Project Resource Allocation button and the time is imported to the Resource Allocation Module for each user. I hope that helps.

For our Org, 350 people, across ~25 teams, it feels like too much too coordinate through the admin team each month or so as different events are added all the time by the different teams...  Just my .02¢ though...

This FR/RFE was last updated 2-years ago and has/had a "Planned" status.  Is it still planned, or should it have been updated to completed or Not Planned?
