Change weeks from CALENDAR YEAR to FINANCIAL YEAR

Replicon uses Calendar year for week number, i.e. Week 1 = first week of the year. However, our business is 100% based on FINANCIAL year (July to June), therefore Week 1 should be 1st week of July.

Why is it so hard to provide such an option to the user to select if they want Replicon based on Calendar year or Financial year with selected dates?

Should be a way where users can select calendar period or Financial year start/end dates and all reports where we look for week comes based on that.

Week 1 = 1st week of July
Week 52 or 53 = Last week of June

How hard is to have this done?

There is currently not a concept of what the financial year in in our system.  If one were introduced where in the product would you like to make use of it?

Financial year is important for tracking many metrics, employee billable hours/utilization, project profitability and margin, time off accruals etc. Reports and dashboards should be available based on calendar or financial year.

Spot on!

It's a simple thing.

Some business run on calendar year (Jan to Dec) others run on calendar year, this case in Australia we go from July to June.

To track all metrics mentioned above by Patricia, tracking against the correct metrics is very important.

Same with accrued time off, it should accrue daily, not weekly/monthly/yearly. This is basic HR stuff.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Vacation Year end.

Replicon only seems to allow a Time Off year end to be Dec 31st  our type off year end is Oct 31st and the system will not predict past Dec 31
