Capturing shift differential hours in timesheet

We have a group of employees who are going to be working a second shift on some days and will receive an extra payment amount per hour worked on the second shift. Their entire work day would be on the second shift. We need a way to capture in the timesheet which hours are worked on the second shift in a way that we can report on the hours in a pay code report. I have tried using activities, custom timesheet field at the timesheet row level but neither of these approaches worked. Please advise of any other possible solutions.

Hi,

Pay codes are labels used to identify pay rate multipliers. The purpose of pay codes is to help you identify what rate multiplier is being applied to the users' time. Pay codes are used in the following areas of Replicon: Overtime Rules & Time Off Types. Pay Code's cannot be associated to activities or User Defined Fields.

Hence we cannot retrieve Activities (or) User Defined Field data in Pay code report. Possible solution is to have the users track second shift on the Timesheet using the same row level User Defined Field. You can get the data by running any of the timesheet report's eg., reports based on Timesheet Hours Details template. You can enable this row level User Defined Field in this report. Go to Reports Settings > Columns > Timesheet section.

If you need to filter based on this User Defined Field then go to Reports Settings > Filters tab to enable the same.

Thanks,
