Bill rates with effective dates

Currently there is no way to catch bill rate changes, unlike pay rates, we are not able to set an effective date on bill rates.  This causes a problem, especially when bill rate changes happen during a reporting cycle.  This causes over payment to our Suppliers.

I propose building in functionality where Bill rates are defined for / are based on Activities for each user with the ability to set effective date for the rate change

Hi Stewart,

You can set effective dates for each billing rate change. On the project screen, click on the billing rate name and add an amount with an effective date rather than changing the initial rate

In the Cenovus instance, the bill rates I am referring to are not linked to Projects but individual people.  Each person (contingent worker) has their own pay rate with associated bill rate (def:  the bill rate is what Cenovus gets charged for the time the contingent worker worked, i.e. pay rate + supplier markup).  Rates are not standardized per role

We cannot use the Projects functionality to meet this requirement

Hi Stewart,

We would like a look through the system.

Can we have a quick call with you regarding the same?

Hi Aashneed

This issue is really creating a lot of manual work for us.  Do you have any update form Replication if a product change is being considered.  We worked with Kiran Kannan on our original implementation - he will be able to provide more context on this too.

Bottom line - we would like the bill rates to work in a similar manner as the Pay rate on the Payroll section of the Admin tab
