Auto populate timesheet based on Allocation

One thing that our consultants complain a lot is that we don't work in one task or one project but we work in several ones at the same time.

The implications of this is that every week they have to create or delete new lines on their timesheet and wish this could be auto-populated based on their allocation.

Which makes total sense if you think of this process.

What is the point in allocating them in the project, allocate hours to days/weeks if they have to repeat the same entry on a daily/weekly basis on their timesheet?

This should be automated, and they should only need to update their hours completed on timesheet. It would be even better if once they update their hours on their timesheets that it would also update the hours allocated for that current week on the project.

If Replicon wants to compete with other Project Management solutions in the market, it should start thinking how to improve its functionalities to be on par with the competition.

We have created our "Timesheet Population Methods" platform to be able to handle situations like this.  This platform lets customers define who a new timesheet will be populated by default, as well as let users choose to populate their timesheet on the flay through an "Overwrite with" button.

Unfortunately our out of the box Timesheet Population Methods do not have a rule for what you are interested in.  But as a platform it is possible to get a new rule created to model your business case.  To do this you will need to talk to your account manager.

That's one of the reasons we are moving to another platform. Everything is so hard to accomplish in Replicon. It would take months if not years and a bucket of money. It's sad but true.
