Approving Project timesheets when PM is on vacation

Our normal timesheet approval path is for the PM to approve timesheets for all hours on their project. When PMs go on vacation is the only option to change the PM on the project before they leave so the next timesheet will go to their replacement? You can add a co-manager to projects, would be nice if the co-manager could also approve timesheets by just selecting a field to redirect the timesheets.

Hello Patricia,

Thank you for posting your query in Replicon Community.

As I correctly understand, when the PM goes for a vacation or time off, they change the pm of the project for approval, as the timesheet approval is set to PM approval.

We would recommend you to use the substitute user functionality to overcome this. This functionality will let the PM assign a substitute in his absence, where the other person, will be able to log in and approve timesheet on his behalf.

To know more about substitute user functionality, please refer to the below article:

Note: The co-managers can be added as a substitute user for the PM.

Hope this information helps.
