Why does it to so long to get support from Replicon?

Why does it to so long to get support from Replicon? We opened a ticket in October and there is no resolution. The issue should be a minor fix of updating a few records to correct an error and we are not able to do this ourselves. For some reason, Replicon has escalated this issue to a Development team and now ALL PROGRESS HAS STOPPED. I can not even get them to reply with a status update. Is this typical?
