web service login after timeout period

If I'm looking at the web service list long enough for the page to timeout, it asks for a username and password before any further actions can be performed. My Replicon username and password don't work. Instead, I have to login to the Replicon main page and then go back to the web service list to continue working. Why does my username and password not work in the web service login prompt?

Hi,

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

There is no separate login services available for web services URL for a browser based session. It is expected that users will connect to web services programmatically and pass the login information via the program. If the user wishes to access the web services URL from a browser the session will be established first via login.replicon.com and then pass the session cookie to the services URL.

Thanks,

Lingaraj

I understand what you're saying, but the web services documentation page requests a username and password if the timeout period expires and it won't accept the standard login credentials.

The answer posted in the Salesforce thread is the answer I was looking for. It's also in the example python code that was sent to me in my request for code thread: r=requests.post(url, headers=headers, auth=(company_name+'\\'+user_name,pwd),data = json.dumps(payload), timeout=60) "\"
