We are a very remote based company and have folks living in various states or countries. I have the timesheet set to auto-populate to the next pay cycle, but not sure if the custom 'State' field can pull through as well with the previously used state listed.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for using Replicon Community!

Unfortunately, the custom field is not associated with the pay cycle. Where the timesheet will be populated, the custom will not be populated unless there is a default value set for the field. However, I also assume that you will not be able to set a default value for the field as the state may differ for different people.

Thanks,

OK. That is what I was thinking based on what I could find in the guide and navigation through the application.

Thank you.

Hi Chris,

Just wanted to double check something...do you have "State" set up as a timesheet custom field, or a user custom field?

Thanks,
Charlene

As a timesheet settings/entry level custom field.

Okay, if you are using our "Custom" timesheet format, and choose to prepopulate all the time data, the custom fields will be carried over from the previous timesheet as well. Is that what you are looking for?

I am using a standard timesheet format that has 'Allow Copying from Previous Timesheets' checked, but can look into a custom timesheet if it can be setup to be user specific instead of a global carry over. If user specific would I need to build multiple custom sheets?

I just did a quick test on the Standard format and if the users select "Field Value" in the copy dialog, the entry-level custom field values will be carried over from the user's previous timesheet.

Will that do the trick?

Charlene,

I am unable to locate that screen. Which section of the Admin page would I find this option?

Perfect. And by unchecking the time function is will only pull the activity and state information over.

Thank you for all your help.
