Use of Activities

I do not have admin access, so cannot verify how Activities may be set up and the constraints around them, and the guides I have found are not clear.  So:

We would like to use a large list of activities (>100) for all the users in one department (~50).  Ideally, we would like to associate each activity to that department, rather than all the users in that department.  Is it possible to do this?

If it must be handled one user at a time, is there an easy way to do this (e.g. filter for the dept and then one-click select all to add?)

If it must be one user at a time, then when we need to add a new user to the department, is there an easy way to assign them all the required activities (again preferably filter somehow and do a select all, vs individually selecting 100+ activities)? Would mass edit support this and make it easy to do?

Hi Ken,

Thank you for using Replicon Community,

You can learn more about Editing Multiple Users from this help article. I am afraid this requires Administrator permission. We recommend talking to your Replicon Administrator who can look into providing you Administrator permission.

Q: We would like to associate each activity to that department, rather than
all the users in that department.  Is it possible to do this?

A: Activities are associated only to a users profile and not a department.

Q: If it must be handled one user at a time, is there an easy way to do
this (e.g. filter for the dept and then one-click select all to add?)

A: You can assign multiple activities by editing multiple users at once.

Q: Is there an easy way to assign them all the required activities (again
preferably filter somehow and do a select all, vs individually selecting
100+ activities)? Would mass edit support this and make it easy to do?

A: Unfortunately, even though you can select an entire department from the filters, you will need to the required activities one by one in the mass edit screen. I have demonstrated this in the video below:-

Let me know if that helps,

Thanks,
Lingaraj
