We’re working on the following changes, which should be available within the next few weeks. We'll notify you via the release notes once these changes are live.

Shift schedule improvements

We’re improving the usability of the shift schedule, to help schedule managers make changes more quickly and easily. Schedule managers will be able to:

  • Drag and drop individual shifts from one employee and date to another, without having to first delete then recreate the entry
  • Drag and drop a pattern of shifts to a new location
  • Extend a shift or shift pattern vertically or horizontally to assign it to new users or days
  • Move a pattern of shifts that includes a blank cell (e.g. a day with no shift assigned)
  • Remove a group of shifts in a single step
We're also adding a Skill filter to the schedule that managers can use to quickly find employees who meet shift requirements.

In addition, we’ll be releasing a new report template: the Shift Assignment report. This template includes Shift Name, Shift Date, Total Work, Total Breaks, and User Name columns, and can be used to easily find shifts that still need to be assigned to employees.

These changes will be available in our Workforce Management product, with the exception of the Skill filter. To see that filter, you'll need Workforce Management and a product with skills functionality – either Project Portfolio Management or Professional Services Automation.
