Timesheets dropping from the TEAM tab view after an approval edits a timesheet

The TEAM tab is used by managers as a status overview of those timesheets for users/projects under their management.  For us, project time is approved by an Account Manager (Client Rep) and the Project Manager. The Account Manager is responsible for the charging to a client and uses the TEAM tab to check the timesheet status for a given timesheet period (generally weekly).

Our Account Managers also have the ability to adjust the timesheet before he/she approves.

However, we have noticed that before the timesheet is approved, it is listed as "Awaiting Approval" in the TEAM tab.  If the Account Manager then edits the timesheet to make a simple change and then "Submit Changes", the system automatically approves the timesheet on behalf of the Account manager and the timesheet is DROPPED from the TEAM tab.

Why is the timesheet dropped from the TEAM tab?  The Account Manager is still an approver and therefore the timesheet should still be listed.

The Replicon engineer tried to justify why this happens by saying he edited the timesheet and therefore no longer needed to approve the timesheet as the system approved it for him!!!  Surely, regardless if the system approved it or not, the Account Manager is still an approver and therefore the timesheet should still be listed.

Bug is what I think!

I agree with you that this is a bug.  It should not matter how the Account Manager (Client Rep) approves the timesheet, they were still an approver and should still see the timesheet in their approval history.  To me the diagnosis you heard sounds like an explanation of how the bug is happening, but is not that it is not a bug.

I will escalate this with our team.
