Hi!

I, as a supervisor and project manager, when approving timesheets from my team members need an option to view time entries concerning only the projects that I manage.

Supervisors are able to view the entire timesheet for their team members - and that's ok, but it is hard for them, as project managers, to clearly identify the time entries they are requested to approve.

We have timesheets with more than 100 time entries in different projects.

Thanks,
Nuno

Hi Nuno,

This is a good suggestion. We're doing some work around project manager approvals so we'll take this into consideration for that.

Thanks,
Charlene

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled 2-Step Timesheet Approval Question.

We are a matrix style consulting firm and would like to have a 2-step Timesheet approval process where hours are first approved by the project-specific project manager, and then secondly the supervisor approves the entire Timesheet.

The issue we are running into is that many project managers are also supervisors at our company, and as a result, they are seeing the entire timesheet for the user, rather than just the project-specific hours.

An example:
CEO logs time to Project A
Project A is managed by  a junior project manager, Bob, who supervises 1 junior employee
When the CEO submits time, Bob can see the CEO's entire timesheet

Is there a way so that the Project Manager only see's hours for their own projects?

Hi Jordan,

I have merged your query with this idea that has been raised by Nuno already. This is currently under consideration.
