Time Tracking Admin Dashboard

We have several employees time tracking in the timesheet, simultaneously.

It would be convenient if our Administrators had access to a dashboard that showed all those employees time tracking at the current moment, and in addition, showed what they are time tracking against.

Hello Jeff,

We have recently introduced a new dashboard beta product, for which this idea could be considered. We shall have our PM team review this request in detailed

Hi Jeff,

What kind of time-frame are you interested in seeing, when you say 'at the current moment'?  Real-time, within the past week, within the past month?

The new dashboard beta might be along the lines of what you're looking for, but there are some limitations that could affect you.  For example, it is easy with the dashboard to set up a graph showing the past 1 month's activities.

Similar visualizations could be created for projects or tasks, depending on what you're looking to monitor.

But, there are some limits to the dashboard, and some limits to how closely you can monitor it.  The biggest limitation is going to be that staff will have fill out their timesheets with the same promptness that you want to review their time, otherwise there is little value provided.  In my experience, the 'average' timesheet user doesn't tend to enter timesheets very promptly.

The dashboard beta also has some technical limitations that might affect being used for this purpose.  It only provides monthly data resolution.  And it is focused around charts & graphs, so the quantity of data might affect how easy it is to review and understand.

If you're interested in learning more about the dashboard, you can check out https://community.replicon.com/replicon/topics/replicon-introduces-the-dashboard-feature-beta.  Or if you want to give it a try yourself, e-mail dashboard@replicon.com and we can turn the beta feature on for you to review.

Thanks Mathieu I will check out the dashboard feature.

I am interested in a real-time view of 'who' is tracking 'what'.

I did check out the beta dashboard, was not what I was describing above.

We have a lot of employees who are logged in and simultaneously time tracking different projects at the same time. It would be nice to see who is time tracking, and what they are tracking, at any given time.

Are you looking for an Activity Stream kind of thing? That would be a nice feature. Jira does it pretty well.

Hi Jeff,

This is not something we have planned currently. But I'll update the status to Not Planned so we review it during future planning sessions.

Thanks,
Charlene
