Time Off - Rejected Requests Enhancement

As Supervisor, I would like another option to Reject a Time Off Request such as:
"Denied" - which would automatically remove the entry from the requestor's bank (but perhaps still shows a reference/note on the calendar of denied time as long as it doesn't count against their bank)

Currently the only "denial" option is "Rejected" which I recently learned could mean 2 things;
1) the request has been rejected for changes, or
2) the request has been denied

If the Supervisor has truly denied the request, the employee receives an email alert however unless the employee deletes his/her "Rejected" request, it will remain in the history as booked time and count against the balance (even if not taken).  As a user, it's not intuitive after you receive the "Rejected" email alert that you have to click on "Edit Time Off" if you want to delete your request.  If I received a Rejected email alert, I would assume no other steps need to be taken.

OR maybe the entry could be flagged in red so it stands out to the user that they have a rejected or denied entry that needs attention.  Food for thought!

Hi Angela,

Completely agree that when a Time Off request is rejected, the requested time should not be taken into account for the employee's balance. In our new Time Off product we have designed the rejected state to not be reflected in the employee's balance.

Thanks, Karen

Is this available now or is this a product that is still in development?  We have the same request.

Hi All,

On the new Time Off system, we are handling rejected time off requests better where the time is not counted toward the employee's balance.

Thanks, Karen
