Three functions request

1. A function to move timesheet data from one period to another in one click (e.g. users input data into wrong period. we cannot "move" the data, but we have to manually input one by one from wrong period to right period)
2. A function that allows us to copy team trackers (e.g. we need to set up a new team. there is a similar tracker in the system, but we cannot copy it over to the new team and make adjustments. we have to add projects and tasks one by one to the new team tracker)
3. Allow tasks with same name but different settings (e.g. task "Record Retention" may be core for one team and non-core for another. we want to set up two tasks "Record Retention", one set as Core and assign to one team, another set as Non-core and assign to another team)

Our instances are CIBCFinanceABC and CIBCFinanceBIA.

Thanks!

Hi Kitty,

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

Following are the answers to your queries

1. A function to move timesheet data from one period to another in one click You can use our "Copy From" feature. This feature is available on the timesheet when you have "Allow Copying from Previous Timesheets" option enabled in the timesheet template that is assigned to the users. Once this option is enabled in the template you will see an Icon at the top right corner which will let you copy the timesheet data from a specific timesheet period.

As an administrator please login as the user to make the required changes. Please use this with caution as the timesheet may autosave and the changes can not be undone. We recommend you take a print out or a screenshot before using Copy From feature. Moreover, you can only make changes to the entire timesheet and can not drill it down to Row Level.

2. A function that allows us to copy team trackers You can use the 'Copy Project' feature in order to achieve this. Any user who has edit project permission can use this feature. Following are the steps to do the same:

a. Go to Project Management and open the project you wish to copy
b. Click on the Settings icon on the top right hand corner and choose Copy Project option

c. Decide the fields that you wish to copy

d. Click on Copy Project

You can also go to Copy Project Feature in order to understand the functionality further.

3. Allow tasks with same name but different settings:  We will have one of our product management team add their comments on why this was implemented in the system.

Thanks,
Aashnee

Hi Aashnee,

Thank you for your reply. There are a few things I wish to add:

1. A function to move timesheet data from one period to another in one click :  It is great that you have this function. However, normally we do not wish to copy from "previous" timesheets. Most of the time we have to copy timesheets from e.g. this week to last week. Can that still be done? Also, it will be great if users do not have access to this function, only the Admins.

2. A function that allows us to copy team trackers : Sorry I think I did not explain clearly...By "trackers" I do not mean "Projects". When we set up teams, first we add a new name under "Departments". Then, we go to Tasks under Projects and assign them to Departments. We wish to make copies of the Departments (with all the tasks already assigned to it), not the Projects.

3. Allow tasks with same name but different settings: Thank you! We really need this function because we are building a lot of models and reports based on the activity data. Having to create two different task names for the same task adds a lot of confusion for our users.

Thank you!

HI Kitty,

1. A function to move timesheet data from one period to another in one click :  It is possible to copy data of a future timesheet.

Thank you for the clarification on the second point. Currently, that feature is not available. I will have my Product Management team to get back on the other two concerns.

Thanks,
Aashnee
