Under Consideration

When someone is assigned or allocated to a task, it would be great to have the system automatically send an email to the assignee. This should be an option like the other email notifications.

Adding support for Project/Task assignment related notifications is part of our roadmap. We will consider the specific case of allocations as well when we plan Project/Task notifications.
