I need to run a report to show:
Project Code
Client Name
Project Name
Project Manager
Delivery Assurance
User Name
Allocated Hours
Actual Hours
Week Start
and would love to have staff comments to actual hours.
However, for my surprise, a resource template that provides allocated and actual hours does NOT provide Client name. I can NOT understand how a template that provides hours allocated and hours worked does not provide the client name!!!
I have to hear from Replicon's tech team that sorry but you need to run two reports (as usual) and combine them.
We are in the era of PRODUCTIVITY, this is NOT productive, this is OLD, where people have to work purely based on stuck templates and have to do manual work that could be easily automated.

No the report doesn't bring everything. If you run/export the report you will see that the date is missing to allocated hours.
I don't think this is rocket science.
The outcome I'm trying to achieve here is, forecast visibility:
Simple show, Which consultant was allocated to each project an how many hours they have actually done.
Allocated staff A to project B for X hours.
Staff A has done Y hours instead.
That way I can see where the staff is being allocated and what is the discrepancy between allocated hours VS actual hours, that way I can liaise with the project manager to discuss any difference and why.
Staff forecasting can have huge impact if not done properly. Bad outcomes of bad resourcing can be, hiring extra staff with no need; Having wrong staff on wrong projects; Over allocate staff when we could have hired more.
Data is all about visualization to better decision making. The way I have data distributed from Replicon doesn't give me productivity and is quite a hurdle to accomplish the desired outcome.
