Resource Allocation Ability

Would like to see resource allocation allow time that is already allocated to drag and drop to other dates. Second, we should be able to input resource allocation for regularly scheduled meetings without having to input allocation on each date individually (i.e. Outlook does this well where you can schedule 1 hour on a Monday for a duration of weeks for meetings).  Third, would like to see the ability to move allocation from one project to another with a drag and drop function.

Hi Ryan,

Unfortunately, no. As soon as we have a public version available. We will publish the same on the community.

Hi Lingaraj, when you say "drag & drop capabilities are on the roadmap", what will that include? Specifically, will that include drag/drop of allocations to a project to different dates? Currently, if a project that has resources allocated needs to be moved by a week, it's impossibly tedious to manually change all of the allocations. In fact, it would be great to add the function to a project (especially Tentative projects) to say "move all allocations for this project by X days" (or weeks, forward or backward). Without something like this, managing Allocations for Tentative projects is essentially impossible, such that we're not currently able to use that feature. Thank you for considering this.

I have asked the concerned PM to shed more light around what's planned.

Hi Anthony,

We have a slide feature on the roadmap that allows to slide the project by certain duration. When a project is slided, everything (task start/end date and resource allocation) inside the project slides along with it. I think that slide feature will meet the requirement you described above...

Thanks,
Sangeet

Any update on the timeline for this feature? This was on the "roadmap" nearly a year ago - has any progress been made?
