I am looking to create a report that displays the amount of time an individual placed in a particular project and the tasks under that project for two years worth of time. So this would display one year next to another year. Any Suggestions?

Hi April,

Please try creating a report as follows:

- Go to Reports and click on +New Report
- Choose category as Timesheet
- Report Type as Timesheet Day Template
- Keep only the following fields:
Project Name, Task Name, Month(Entry Date) , Comments, Hours Worked, Total Hours, Project hours
- Under the grouping section Group Rows by Project and then by Month(Entry Date)
- Create the report

Please Note the following:

1. Once you click on Create Report please click on the Edit button in front of the Filter section to enable date filter
2. Filter the report for 2 years

Please let us know if this suffices your needs. If not please help us understand the issue further.

Thanks,

Aashnee,
Unfortunately this does not provide a solution. I have reports that run that data. What I need would be instead of hours worked it would be "2014 Hours Worked" and then the data would be the hours for that year. Then the next column would be 2015 with the hours worked for that year. There is no need for comments, just the summary of each project/task per person. We need to compare one year to another side by side.

Hi April,

Instead of Month (Entry Date) can you please try using Year (Entry Date). Grouping can also be changed to Year (Entry Date) instead this will solve your purpose.

Thanks,
