RepliConnect via saml ?

The company I work for has just adopted Replicon for timesheet logging and I am investigating the RepliConnect API. Starting simple - just to see if I can connect e.g. from a java client to extract my logged timesheet information. On the face of it that ought to be fairly straightforward ? But I am having trouble even establishing a connection which I think may be down to the fact that we access the service through a "SAML" url : https://global.replicon.com/!/saml2/<OURCompanyServiceID>/sp-sso/post. Is there any collateral available to demonstrate how I can achieve this task as it strikes me as something that ought to be a fairly common requirement ? Any help gratefully appreciated. Many thanks...

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for using the Replicon Community!

In order to access our web services, we recommend you to use a user account which is set with Replicon Authentication and not SSO. You can read and learn more about the Replicon Web Services here.

Thanks,

Hi, so the answer is "No, it is not possible" ? Doesn't sound very open / enterprise...
