As we all know, vacations rock.

But if you’re like me, you could easily do without the stress of preparing to leave on one.

And it’s not just packing that employees have to worry about -- workers often need to ensure their job responsibilities are handled while they’re gone.

There’s nothing worse than lying on the beach worrying about that batch of timesheets you forgot to approve!

While they can’t help you pack, these three features can help keep things rolling while you’re away from the office:

Substitute users

Substitutes can be assigned full access to your Replicon account, with all of your permissions, for a limited date range that you specify. So, they can log in and carry out any tasks you need covered – performing approvals, creating invoices, generating payroll, etc.

To help substitutes out, any notifications you receive – like emails that tell you timesheets are awaiting your approval – will be forwarded to them.

For more information, refer to Assigning a substitute user.

Time-triggered approvals

We offer these conditional approvals for timesheets and time off, in enterprise products. If you’re absent and don’t approve items within the allotted time limit, the item is escalated to your supervisor for approval.

This is a handy way of ensuring items get attention when approvers aren’t around, without having to set up a substitute.

For more information, check out Setting up conditional approval rules.

Project co-managers

You can assign co-managers to your projects that will need attention while you’re away. Co-managers can carry out any project management task, only limited by their own assigned permissions.

For more details, refer to Allowing managers to assign co-managers.

So enjoy the sun and sand, safe in the knowledge that someone is dealing with your stuff, wherever your vacation takes you!
