This week, we launched our new in-app data import feature, updated Replicon Mobile for Android, and fixed an issue.

Data import from within Replicon

We’ve introduced a new, more convenient method of mass importing data – our new in-app data import feature.

Currently, the new import feature supports adding, editing, and deleting the following data types:

  • Users
  • Holidays
  • Activities
  • Groups (locations, cost centers, etc)
  • Projects
  • Tasks
  • Clients
  • Project assignments
  • Task assignments
As with the Replicon Import Add-in (RIA), the new import feature relies on CSV files that you set up with data you want to import.

Refer to Mass adding, updating, and deleting data using data import for details on how to use the new data import tool.

For most customers, this feature is disabled by default – you must enable it in the Administrator permissions for all users who need to carry out imports.

This tool does not include a revert option. Be sure to warn any users that when they carry out an import:

  • They are working with your organization's live data
  • Any additions, modifications, and deletions made cannot be undone
The RIA utility is still available; this new import feature addresses some of RIA’s limitations, namely that:

  • RIA needs to be installed and set up before it can be used
  • RIA is an Excel add-on, and some companies don’t allow installation of add-ons
  • RIA isn't supported on Macs

Update to Mobile for Android

Replicon Mobile for Android is now available in the Play store. It includes bug fixes, and this improvement:

  • We’ve added a new time entry button for those using a configurable timesheet, which is easier to find than the add entry icon. The icon is still available, if you'd prefer to continue using it.

Fixed issues

  • In reports based on the Work Schedule template, the Adherent column is marked as No for all shifts that cross midnight, even if the work hours match the user’s assigned shift
