This week, we released a new timesheet validation rule related to custom fields, made some improvements to reports and the billing targets functionality, and fixed a few issues.

Mandatory custom fields timesheet validation rule

A Mandatory Custom Fields default timesheet validation rule is now available to those using the Configurable timesheet. Use this rule to require users to complete custom fields when filling out their timesheets. If a user fails to complete a mandatory field, a warning message will display. The user may also be unable to submit their timesheet, depending on how you've configured the rule and their timesheet template's workflow conditions.

Improvements

  • We’ve made some small enhancements to the Target Billable Hours page. Most notably, administrators can now add a billable targets total for a user, and that total will automatically be evenly distributed across all months of the year.
  • We’ve added a Billing Item Type filter to the Billing report template that allows you to filter billing items by their type – either timesheet, expense, periodic billing entry, or fixed bid
Fixed issues

  • Unusual delays may occur when users submit and approve timesheets, and carry out certain other actions
  • Customers using legacy products can run the Timesheet Correction report even though it displays no data for them
  • In In/Out Times + Allocation timesheets, Danish characters display incorrectly in custom fields
