This week, we updated Replicon Mobile for Android, launched a change related to schedules and time off, added options related to how edited time off bookings are approved, and fixed an issue.

Reminder: Ask your users to update their passwords before Feb 28

Last week, we enabled the Must Have Strength Rating of at Least Good password setting for customers. This means that, going forward, when users create a new password or update an existing one, the new password must have a ‘Good’ or better rating on our password complexity scale.

Remember that, as of Feb 28, any user who hasn't yet updated their password will be forced to do so before they’ll be able to access their account. So, you may want to ask your users to update their passwords ahead of that date.

For more details on this change, please refer to How the new Replicon password complexity requirement will impact you.

And, if you need help, please contact our Support team – they’ll be happy to guide you through this change.

Updating time off when schedules change

We’ve launched the improvement to time off we previewed on Nov 21.

Now, if you’re using new time off, whenever you change a schedule and that change impacts the duration of a time off entry or booking, the time off duration will be automatically updated to match the new schedule.

Note that anyone still on the legacy version of time off will still have to make these kinds of updates manually.

Refer to What happens if we update an employee’s schedule for a day when they have time booked off? for more information.

New options for how approvals are routed when time off bookings are edited

We’ve introduced two new global options on the Time Off Settings page that determine how timesheet and time off approvals are handled whenever a time off booking is edited.

One option relates specifically to approvals after a schedule is modified (related to the Updating time off when schedules change feature described above).

The other setting applies when any time off booking is edited: Previously, by default, only fully approved timesheets would reopen for re-approval when a related booking was edited. Now, you can choose to have all timesheets, even partially-approved ones, reopen.

This new option, if enabled, ensures that timesheet owners and approvers have the opportunity to view modifications to the timesheet – such as new validation errors that might have arisen as a result of edits – every time a booking is edited.

See Defining how approvals proceed when bookings are reopened for more information on these options.

Update to Mobile for Android

Replicon Mobile for Android is now available in the Play store. It includes bug fixes.

Fixed issues

  • In a rare case, different balances display in the Time Off Balances report and on the Payroll > Time Off > Balances page in legacy time off
