This week, we updated Replicon Mobile for Android, added a new timesheet validation rule, and fixed a couple of issues. Also, if you use the Accruals Based on Hours Worked accrual rule, please note the small change we'll soon be making related to that rule.

Update to Mobile for Android

Replicon Mobile for Android is now available in the Play store. It includes bug fixes.

Are you using the Accruals Based on Hours Worked time off accrual rule?

If so, note that we’re making a small change to how accruals based this rule are dated. Currently, an accrual is dated with the associated timesheet’s approval date. But, soon we’ll start using the timesheet’s end date as the accrual date instead.

Past accrual dates will not change, unless the transaction is at some point edited or recalculated. We’re making this change to avoid complications that result when a timesheet overlaps a new policy.

Accrual dates display in certain time off reports and in balance history tables.

New timesheet validation rule: Daily Rest Period

If you want to ensure your employees are taking off a certain number of hours, say 12 hours, between shifts, our new Daily Rest Period validation rule can help.

With this rule in place, employees who attempt to punch or enter a starting shift time without having taken the required duration of rest will see a warning message in their timesheet.

Refer to Setting up timesheet validation rules for more information on setting up timesheet validation rules.

Fixed issues

  • If a schedule manager clicks Update Assignment, and changes a shift, the shift time may not update to the new shift’s default time, but may instead retain the old shift’s time
  • If you’re using an iPad to complete a timesheet, and you leave the cursor in a timesheet cell when you tap Submit, the timesheet may not be submitted
