This week, we released punch against projects in the web app, updated Replicon Mobile for Android, made an improvement, and fixed a couple of issues. If you’re a CloudClock administrator, be sure to read the notice below regarding an upcoming change to iOS version support for CloudClock.

Upcoming changes to the minimum required OS for Replicon CloudClock

Effective as of our next release in January 2017, we will support only iOS 9 or higher for use with Replicon CloudClock.

Please upgrade any devices running on older OS version in the next few weeks, so you continue receiving app updates and improvements. The steps to upgrade are available here:

Note that clocks that are not upgraded to iOS 9 will continue to function as before, but they won’t be eligible for further updates.

If you have questions or need help, please contact Replicon Support.

Update to Mobile Android

Replicon Mobile for Android is now available in the Play store. It includes the following fixes:

  • Billing rates don’t display on the day view for timesheets, making it impossible to distinguish between a task that is duplicated, but uses different rates for each entry
  • In a configurable timesheet, if you save values in the time distribution grid and then immediately enter and save daily values, the daily values may not save
  • If punches are required against projects, and you attempt to select a project with no tasks to punch against, an error occurs
  • You may not be able to save a timesheet-level custom field using the app

Punch against projects

Project users can now associate projects or tasks with punches they create using the Replicon web interface.

To punch against projects, users must have the Punch into Projects/Tasks option set to either Optional or Required in their punch entry policy.

This feature is available to customers using an attendance product and a project product from the new product suite. In other words, customers must be using one of the following product combinations to access this feature:

  • TimeAttend Quick Start OR TimeAttend Plus OR Workforce Management

  • TimeBill Quick Start OR TimeBill Plus OR Professional Services Automation OR TimeCost Plus OR Professional Portfolio Management
The ability to punch against projects has been available in the Replicon Mobile app for some time, and will be added to CloudClocks in the near future.

  • In time distribution grids, an error now displays if you mouse over project time that falls outside the date range for the project or task. This helps distinguish between tasks that belong to different projects but have the same name.

Fixed issues

  • If you include a client or project numerical custom field, it uses the report default precision (two decimal places) rather than the precision defined when the custom field was set up
  • Row-level custom fields in configurable timesheets don’t display Danish characters correctly
