This week we added an option to payroll manager permissions.

Ability to override time off validations can be explicitly assigned

Previously, any user assigned a payroll manager permission set could override time off validations. This means they could submit time off bookings on behalf of a user even if the booking broke a time off validation rule.

Now, the ability to override can be enabled or disabled explicitly in the payroll permission set using the new Override Validation option. This permission will be enabled by default in all existing permission sets.
