This week we updated the time off booking dialog, released updates to our mobile apps for Android and iOS, and fixed some issues.

Simple balance display option for time off booking dialog

We have added a simple balance summary option for displaying balances in the time off booking dialog. With this option enabled, the balance just before the next policy reset, both including and excluding the current booking, will display in the dialog. If no resets are scheduled for a policy, the balance as of December 31st will display.

This new option is useful for front-loaded policies with an annual reset and no accruals – ones that reflect a ‘yearly entitlement’. For example, a policy that allots an employee five sick days then resets back to five days after one year is a yearly entitlement policy. The new balance display option shows employees how much time off they have left for the year, whether that year is calendar-based or not.

The Track As Time Remaining display option is still available, but has been renamed Full Balance Breakdown. Plus, the Track Time As field where administrators select balance display options has been renamed Balance Summary Display.

"Track Time As" still shows when looking at overall Time Off Types list.
