Hi

Thank you for using Replicon Community.

Gen2 Platform:-

Project selection can be made mandatory by editing the Timesheet section in the permission assigned to the end user. Changes made to a specific permission impacts all the users who have the same permission enabled. If only one user needs this change, we recommend creating a new permission based on permission which is already assigned to the user.

Based on your requirement permission needs to have the following changes made:-

  • Login as an Administrator.
  • Go to Administration.
  • Under Users/Departments click on Permissions.
  • Click on the Edit permission button on the respective permission.
  • Expand Timesheet.
  • Scroll down to Allow time to be entered
  • From the drop down select Against projects
  • Click on Save
Please find the screenshot with steps illustrated:-

If you have created a new permission, then go back to the users profile, deselect the old permission and enable the new one.

Gen3 Platform:-

User Timesheet Template controls the same, you can either edit an existing template which impacts all the users who assigned the same template or a new Timesheet Template can be created and assigned to the user.

Based on your requirement following changes need to be made to the Timesheet Template:-

  • Login as an Administrator.
  • Go to Administration.
  • Go to the respective users profile.
  • Under the Timesheets section find out the Timesheet Template assigned.

  • Go to Administration again.
  • Under Timesheets go to Timesheet Templates.
  • Click on the respective template.
  • Enable Project/Task Selection is Required
  • Click on Save
